Is telehealth physical therapy right for you?
Northeast Nebraska is big country. If you live an hour from the nearest clinic, have an athlete away at school in Lincoln or Kearney, or just can't get off work, a virtual visit gets you expert eyes on the problem fast. Most physical therapy starts with a conversation, a movement assessment, and the right exercises — and all of that works by video.
- A new sports injury and you want to know how serious it is
- Athletes and families who live far from Norfolk
- Check-ins and exercise progressions during your rehab
- Back or neck pain you want a McKenzie (MDT) assessment for
- Work, desk, or farm-chore ergonomics and pain prevention
- Deciding whether you need imaging, a specialist, or in-person PT
Why see a board-certified sports PT?
Doug Junge earned the SCS — Board Certification in Sports Physical Therapy — in 2005 and is the only sports clinical specialist in Northeast Nebraska. He's also a certified athletic trainer, a strength & conditioning specialist, and McKenzie-certified in spine care.
When a visit needs hands-on care, you can continue in person at our Norfolk, Tilden, or Newman Grove clinic with the same plan.

Can physical therapy really be done over video?
Much of a physical therapy visit is listening, watching how you move, and teaching the right exercises — all of which work well over video. Doug can assess movement, guide you through tests, and build your home program. If you need hands-on treatment or imaging, he'll tell you and help you take the next step.
Who can book a telehealth physical therapy visit?
Telehealth visits are available to patients who are physically located in Nebraska at the time of the visit. Physical therapy licensure follows the patient's location, so we can't see you by video while you're in another state.
Do I need a referral for a virtual visit?
No referral is needed for a free virtual injury screen. If you go on to treatment, we'll let you know what your insurance requires and help you get a referral if one is needed.
Does insurance cover telehealth physical therapy?
Many plans do, but coverage varies. When you call to book, we'll check your benefits before your visit so there are no surprises. Self-pay is also available.
What do I need for a telehealth PT appointment?
A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera, a stable internet connection, a little space to move, and comfortable clothes. Keep a chair nearby, and have someone help position the camera if you can.
Who will I see?
Doug Junge, PT, ATC, SCS, CSCS, Cert. MDT — Northeast Nebraska's only Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy, with more than 30 years of experience.
