Kinesiology Taping in Norfolk, NE

Support and stability that moves with you.

Kinesiology taping on the knee

Therapeutic taping supports muscles and joints, reduces strain, and provides feedback that helps you move well while tissues heal. We use it alongside rehab so you can keep training, working, and living.

What we help with

  • Joint support during recovery
  • Muscle & tendon overload
  • Swelling management
  • Postural cueing
  • Sport & activity support

How kinesiology taping works at Norfolk PT

Kinesiology tape is a thin, stretchy tape that moves with your skin. Applied with specific tension and direction, it can provide light support, reduce the feeling of strain, give your body feedback about posture and position, and help manage swelling and bruising. Rigid athletic taping, by contrast, limits motion to protect a joint during sport.

Taping isn't a fix on its own — it's a tool that helps you stay active while the rest of your plan does the heavy lifting. We'll show you or a family member how to apply it so you can keep using it between visits.

What to expect

  • Taping matched to your injury and activity
  • Instruction so you can re-apply it at home
  • Tips on skin care and how long to wear it
  • Taping combined with your exercise program

Kinesiology Taping: common questions

How long can kinesiology tape stay on?

Usually two to five days, including through showers and workouts. Remove it sooner if your skin itches, burns, or turns red.

Does taping actually work?

Taping can reduce pain and help people move more comfortably for some conditions, but it works best alongside exercise and treatment — not as a stand-alone fix.

Can you tape me before a game?

Yes. We can tape for competition and teach athletes, parents, or coaches how to apply it correctly.

“Treat all patients as individuals and formulate treatment plans to reach your goals.”
